The Engine Room is an optional ship part. When thrusters are placed directly adjacent, they gain a +50% boost to thrust. In addition, power delivery is simplified as Crew can deliver power directly to the Engine Room itself, which will then automatically distribute it to attached thrusters. This results in massive efficiency gains as crew do not have to travel to each individual thruster.
