Fire Extinguisher
300Stores a fire extinguisher that crew can use to put out fires. Fire extinguishers have a limited capacity but will respawn after 15 seconds.
The Fire Extinguisher is a part that can be added to ships and stations. When fires break out, crew members can travel to a fire extinguisher and use it to put them out. When a fire is put out, it will leave anti-fire foam that will temporarily prevent any new fires from appearing.
Since crew members have to physically travel to a fire extinguisher, it is good practise to include multiple even on smaller ships. Another advantage is that there are backup extinguishers in case one being on cooldown or destroyed. Extinguishers should also be located close to key systems and areas where fires are likely to break out, so that they can be stopped quickly.
