Just a list of bugs that affect pvp in some way. The provided links lead to the official discord server.

Bugs

These are some game properties that are very clearly bugs.

Separation Bug

When 2 or more ships get separated all the split "non-main" ships crew gets unassigned from their quarters.

360 Nukes

Targeting nukes in pip and using manual control to fire them allows them to target in a 360 degree radius. Also called "illegal nukes" since they were banned from tournaments in the past.

Key Input Bug

Rarely the game just does not register the key one is holding down. Repressing it fixes the issue.

Mine Shrapnel Phasing

Mine shrapnel will not be stopped by shields of the ship that originally launched the mines.

Ship Phasing

The collision detection of the game often fails when very high forces are at play.

Locking

Will not be fixed in the near future, since it allows for some creative ship designs.

Lock Targeting Bug

Some parts of enemy ships that are very close can not be targeted.

Rail skipping

Rails sometimes wont shoot if the target passes too quickly.

Reactor assignment bug

Assigning a reactor disallows crew to switch tasks.

Unintuitive behavior

These are some game properties that may be bugs, exploits or simply strange.

Crew Bug

If a crewmate has no quarter and there is a quarter with open space, it will automatically be reassigned to that quarter.

Explosion Gun

Nuke explosions themselves have no collision but consist of 3 separate stages. This means that one can detonate them on a piece of structure and shoot it into an enemy. The following 2 explosions can then happen inside the enemies ship.

This can rarely even happen coincidentally when a nuke hits a loose piece of structure resulting in effects similar to nuke clipping. This does not have a bug report.

Mine Phasing

Armed mines have a short time after spawning in which they can not activate, but they will still detonate upon contact. This means that shields will not stop them.

Pen Shield Phasing

If a projectile is passing through a solid block and a shield at the same time, the shield will not block it.

Face cursor angle change

When pressing the turn keys while in face cursor mode, the ship side which faces the cursor position will face the cursor from now on. This is confirmed to not be a bug.
