Splitting Railgun Targets

Most of the time it will be better to just focus on one spot especially since one reactor kill will most likely completely cripple your opponent anyway.

Sometimes splitting rail targets is a good idea if you have sight of multiple valuable targets or if you are fighting a swarm, so it is recommended to have a few extra control groups just in case.

Targeting defenses in the front is often better than targeting the reactor behind it because it reduces damage spread as your weapons will have a closer point of focus.

The targeting AI in this game also is not perfect. Weapons will often miss their target especially when rotations are at play. That is why sometimes have to aim ahead by targeting another part.
