Command Points

Command Points, often abbreviated as CPs, and represented by the icon, are a measure of a ship's control complexity. Most parts and all weapons require Command Points, which are granted through the addition of control parts such as the Cockpit. More complex ships will require more command parts - and thus more crew - to be considered valid.

With multiple command rooms, it is possible to survive the destruction of one by shutting down various systems to return the ship to a positive point balance.
