This template has an alternative name:

Since TOC relies on a page contents and can only be used once, the examples isolated into separate pages:

Page	Description
Template:TOC/example1	Basic usage with no params.
Template:TOC/example2	"depth" param example.
Template:TOC/example3	"align" param example.

TOC with some customizations. Note that this template forces the TOC onto the page using "__TOC__" magic word (this is done for the consistency of the changes that the template applies). This template uses the regular TOC, so all its quirks and limitation apply too (like displaying only the latest TOC).

This template prefers inline formatting of parameters.
