Reputation is an attribute specific to each Faction in Career Mode. It is a measurement of your personal standing with each Faction, and affects Mission rewards; prices for Resources, Crew, and Blueprints purchased from Stations aligned with that Faction; the duration of your Wanted status; and the number of Pursuit Ships while Wanted. Unlike Fame, your Reputation can increase and decrease throughout gameplay, even going negative. Reputation primarily changes by completing Missions (increasing your Reputation), or by destroying ships/stations aligned with that Faction (decreasing your Reputation).
