Vela is a very resistant ship for its tier and faction, being fully packed in armor everywhere but its rear, a rare trait for any scout. However, it lacks any reverse thrust and has minimal speed, with average firepower of two frontal turbolasers. Unlike other ships of this tier, flanking is not as useful, and simply opening fire at it frontally until you tear the armor apart should do it. If faced with other ships, consider it a minimal threat that will take a few seconds to break, time you can use to neutralize a stronger ship.
