It's widely agreed that these stations are some of the worst places to live within civilized space. While the operational systems and exorbitant living suites are nice, clean, and efficient, the living quarters underneath are dimly lit, claustrophobic tunnels where gangs headed by shareholders further reduce standards of living. If all of that wasn't enough, the threat of an attack on such an arms depot or starvation of living necessities is ever present in the midst of intergalactic war.
