Phalanx Light Escort is a tier 2 scout ship used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.
Tactics
The Phalanx Light Escort's offense may be scary for those that lack a shield at this point in the game, but even without a shield, it can still be countered fairly easily. Point defense will help shut down its standard cannons. The Phalanx Light Escort also lacks any sort of reactor protection outside of the durability of its cannons, so if you can destroy them quickly, you've effectively won. Don't bother destroying its lasers - it's faster to destroy the reactor. Strafing the ship is also effective, as it will prevent one of its lasers from firing. Strafing does also allow you a shot at the Light Escort's cockpit, letting you salvage its reactor.
