Desperado is a tier 8 corvette used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.
Desperado is a dangerous opponent, especially when faced head-on, with a lot of armor and weapons. In particular, its chaingun can tear apart ships, especially with Desperado's four disruptors suppressing shields. When facing this ship, the best defense is a good offence. You'll need disruptors to quickly take down Desperado's two small shields and destroy its chaingun before it ramps up. After that rush, depending on your defenses, you'll want to pick off Desperado's disruptors and lasers. If you can take out the chaingun before it deals too much damage, and have strong enough defenses, you can take your time as Desperado can't power all its lasers and thus the amount of firing lasers will slightly and slowly decrease over time.
While Desperado is a powerful ship, it's quite weak to strafing thanks to its long design. It's best to strafe to its left (your right) in order to avoid the chaingun.
