Scarab is a tier 5 patrol ship used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.

Tactics

A strong FSR ship, partially due to its ramming behaviour which will cause it to constantly move and attempt to slam into you. Its mix of weapons is strong, but it does have one major weakness: a total lack of shields. If you meet Scarab head-on and make sure as many of your weapons as possible can fire while locked in a ram with it, you can destroy its heavy lasers and small cannon with ease. Even if you rely on shields, its disruptors are too difficult to hit. After disarming Scarab of its damaging weapons, you can split it in half by firing through where its standard cannon was, causing one half of Scarab to shut off due to lack of command points. The other half is disarmed, vulnerable, and has unbalanced thrust, making it easy to finish off.
