Crucible is a tier 7 corvette used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.
Crucible is one of the more dangerous ships in its tier thanks to its strong frontal defenses and weaponry. A disruptor is practically required to face down this ship as there is no other way to deal enough damage to destroy the ship before getting destroyed yourself. Its reactor is hidden behind a large plate of armor and thus is not worth targeting. If you're using shields, you should immediately target Crucible's disruptor. A valid strategy may be to target and destroy Crucible's large cannon and then subsequently the ammunition storage behind it. The detonation of the ammunition will cause an explosion which then weakens the small piece of armor in front of its HE missiles, allowing you to easily fire down through the breach and destroy half of Crucible's missiles. The resulting explosion also has a good chance of destroying one of Crucible's cockpits.
Point defense will be highly effective at stopping Crucible's missiles. When approaching Crucible, do so carefully, as approaching too fast will cause its missiles to fly behind you before turning around and flying into the back of your ship.
