Dread is a tier 7 corvette used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.
Tactics
While at first glance menacing with its central flak and assortment of other weapons, Dread is ultimately a rather ineffective ship that should be pretty easy to take out. While its point defense and flak can shut down cannons or missiles at range, this is mitigated by the fact that Dread is somewhat underpowered and undercrewed, with little armor and its shields far away from its reactors. This makes it relatively easy to destroy, even if you are using cannons. It has similar problems with its offense. While the flak gun can pose a threat, it also lacks any method of shield piercing, so any amount of shields will make Dread much less dangerous.
