Hellfire is a tier 14 destroyer used by the Fringe Systems Resistance.

Tactics

Like many Fringe Systems Resistance ships, Hellfire isn't particularly strong, but it can still prove dangerous if underestimated. Approach it with caution to avoid missiles flying into your backside. It's usually best to target Hellfire's flak batteries, as they're relatively unprotected. After destroying its flak batteries, you'll have a clear shot into its EMP launchers. The EMPs are an even higher priority target for kiting ships, as otherwise they can drain your engines and bring you within range of Hellfire's other weapons. You should also target Hellfire's HE missiles - while you'll need to work through a fair bit of armor , the missiles can quickly overwhelm your defenses if you don't destroy them fast. Hellfire's reactor is heavily shielded; it's best to disarm the entire ship before taking it out. Going for Hellfire's control room may be easier, as it has less defenses in front of it. The ship is also rather weak to being strafed - while its HE missiles are still defended from its sides, the ship itself turns slowly and its flak, cannons, and unfocused ion beams won't be able to shoot off to the sides.

Hellfire's sides have a fair amount of armor on them - while your flankers could fire from the sides, it's better to instead fire from directly behind Hellfire, where it has far less armor.
